We've been working with the Century Automotive Group almost since the very beginning of Fantastic Plastic.
Century itself has been around even longer than that... more than 50 years. To mark such a milestone, the owners wanted to step away from the usual "hard sell" auto advertising, and asked us to create this feel-good piece highlighting what really goes into selling their high-end luxury cars.
To shoot this project quickly (most of the principal photography happened in one day) we pulled out a lot of our toys. There were many shots with our Canon C300, plus a good bit of handheld work with the Osmo Pro Zenmuse X5 camera, aerial shots with the Mavic Pro drone, and driving footage (both inside the cars and out) with the tiny Osmo X3.
Todd Terry directed the campaign and manned all the cmaeras, with senior editor Joey Skelton cutting the project.
We're now working with our third generation of the Shields/Jones families. They have not started paying us in new Porsches or BMWs, though.
