Huntsville has a great airport — clean, friendly, convenient. It really has a lot going for it. But what it isn't is cheap...and they know that.
To help keep travelers flying out of Huntsville instead of traveling to neighboring cities to depart, the airport developed the "Huntsville Hot Ticket" hotline to help people find the best fares. Huntsville International's ad agency, The McComm Group, asked us to help bring this message to the screen.
Our challenge was to build on a previous campaign we had produced, and give its message even more punch. The idea was to play the original commercials, only to have them "interrupted" by a traveler continuing the message...
Except for greenscreen compositing the big monitor, this production was pretty straightforward, shot on location at the airport in a couple of hours. One of the most important parts of a job like this is finding the right talent. We waded through more than a thousand submissions (from 52 talent agencies!) before landing on Danielle Dawn, who came over from Atlanta for the role of our traveler.
Todd Terry directed the campaign based on McComm's concept, with Phil Schmidt producing and Joey Skelton editing.
